Villa Manzara is situated in a tranquil and relaxing setting surrounded by mountains and farmland. The villa is open plan on the ground floor with marble flooring throughout. There is a well equipped modern kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine and a downstairs w.c. and toilet. The villa has air conditioning in every room and also centrally heated by radiators when it gets chilly from a combi boiler that can be thermostatically controlled as and when needed. Upstairs are 3 double bedrooms with beamed ceilings. 2 bedrooms have double beds and the 3rd has 2 singles. The main bedroom has a bathroom ensuite with bath and shower and a balcony looking out onto Babadag mountain. The second bedroom also has a balcony with the same view. There is an electronic safe situated in this bedroom for storage of passports, flight tickets, valuables, etc. There is a separate bathroom with shower, w.c. and basin. Two child cots and a highchair are available at no extra charge if required.

Outside

There are two terraces outside. The south facing terrace at the back of the villa has a large table and six chairs for enjoying meals and taking in the lovely view of Babadag Mountain. The front terrace is smaller with 2 chairs and a small table which is off the kitchen and overlooking the surrounding farmland.

A few steps lead down from the back terrace to the private swimming pool and patio areas, one with 6 sunloungers and umbrellas and at the side of the villa there is a hammock and another comfortable seating area for relaxing and watching the magnificent sunsets whilst enjoying an evening cocktail or two. There is also a large gas bbq.

The landscaped garden has various fruit and olive trees and shrubs. There is a secure gated driveway for 1 car with further outside parking and timed security lighting.

Coast/Beach

Olu Deniz beach and the Blue Lagoon which are part of the famous Turquoise Coast and one of the most photographed areas in the world for its outstanding beauty is just a 10 minute drive from the villa. It is a safe bathing area with a variety of watersports to enjoy. There are good restaurants, bars and nightlife to be found in this area.

Hisaronu village is just a 5 minute drive from the villa or a 15 minute walk. Here you will find a wide range of tourist shops, restaurants bars and nightlife, ATM machines and banks. There are several good supermarkets. Every Monday there is a market selling local fruit and veg at a very good price,, clothes and a variety of interesting goods - be prepared to haggle with the very friendly stall owners.

Fethiye town with its marina and lovely waterfront area has many boats offering scuba diving and boat trips to the 12 islands. Privately hire one out for the day or share with other people, the cost can be as little as £12 a day which includes delicious bbq food, salad and chips. The town has good shops, bars and restaurants and is only a 20 minute drive away from Villa Manzara. There is a very large market every Tuesday with a vast selection of food and personal goods - again be prepared to haggle for a very good price.

Places of Interest

Kayakoy ancient Greek village ruins near to Hisaronu. Saklikent gorge for white water rafting. Fethiye for island boat cruises and scube diving. Horse riding, paragliding and jeep safari's, wind-surfing, water ski-ing, canoe and kayaking can all be booked locally.

Travel

The nearest airport is Dalaman which is about 1 hours drive to the villa in Ovacik. Transfers from Dalaman airport can be arranged as well as car hire. Taxis are available at reasonable prices and the dolmus (local buses) are very cheap. A passport Visa stamp at Dalaman airport is £10 per person, paid on entry and is valid for up to 90 days.

Distances

20 minutes drive to Fethiye, 5 minutes drive to Hisaronu. 10 minutes drive to Ölüdeniz beach. 10 minutes drive to Kayakoy ghost village. 1 hour's drive to Patara turtle beach and it's surrounding Roman ruins.

Further details

There are plenty of local shops near the villa, some offer complimentary delivery service for all your food and drink needs. In Hisaronu village there are many ATM machines, several good supermarkets and a wide range of tourist shops, bars and restaurants. Once a week on Monday there is a market that sells local produce and a variety of goods. The large market in Fethiye town is every Tuesday.

2 new cots and a new high chair are available (at no charge) if required.

Accessibility

The villa is not suitable for people with mobility problems as it has several steps at the front and rear and All bedrooms are upstairs.

Booking notes

A 25% deposit has to be paid within 7 days of booking and the final payment 8 weeks prior to departure date, together with a £200 security deposit refundable after inspection.
